Travelers heading north this afternoon and evening, Thursday, August 8, 2024, may be faced with a bit more traffic than normal as its the opening day of the highly anticipated new music festival Xroads 41 near Oshkosh.
The three day, 18 band event takes place on the old grounds where Rock USA and Country USA was held for years, but went under during the Covid debacle.
Tickets are still available and can be purchased at the gate today. In addition to the bands, about 40 vendors, including food, will be on the grounds.
New to this event from the previous venue is the addition of elevated grandstand seating which is said to give better sightlines to the stage.
Tonight’s headliner is Country artists Old Dominion, while Friday its Brooks and Dunn and Saturday is Journey.
